Salimullah Muslim Hall

Salimullah Muslim Hall is a historic residential hall at the University of Dhaka, inaugurated on August 11, 1931, and named after Nawab Sir Khwaja Salimullah Bahadur. It was established to support Muslim students and preserve their culture and religion, following recommendations from the British Nathan Committee and the Calcutta University Commission. The hall features distinctive architecture, including a two-storey structure with four wings surrounding a courtyard, and is adorned with pointed arches and domes. Currently, it accommodates over 800 students and has undergone regular renovations, the latest completed in 2010, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in the heritage of education in Bangladesh.
