Ruskin Hall

Ruskin Hall is a historic residence hall at the University of Pittsburgh, located in the Oakland neighborhood. Built in the early 1920s, it has undergone significant renovations, including a $19.4 million conversion completed in 2008, transforming it into modern undergraduate apartment-style housing. The building features 178 furnished units with private baths and kitchens, along with communal areas equipped with wireless internet. Notably, it is part of the Schenley Farms National Historic District and has a rich history, having served various functions over the decades, including housing medical students and university offices. In 2024, it became the first residence hall at the university to install solar panels, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.
