Michigan Condensed Milk Factory

The Michigan Condensed Milk Factory, also known as the Borden Creamery, is a historic site located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Built in 1908, this two-story Commercial Italianate structure features distinctive red brick architecture and a unique gable roof adorned with wood cupolas. Originally established to meet the local demand for milk processing, the factory operated until 1960 before undergoing various ownerships and redevelopment efforts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and has since been rehabilitated to house the offices of the City of Mount Pleasant, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and industrial architecture.
