Westpac Canterbury Centre

The Westpac Canterbury Centre was a notable 13-storey tower in Christchurch, New Zealand, recognized for its unique architectural design by Warren and Mahoney, featuring rounded concrete columns and a triangular roof. Constructed in 1983 for the Trust Bank, it served as Westpac's South Island headquarters until its closure due to earthquake damage in 2010. The building suffered significant structural issues during the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes, leading to its demolition in 2012. Today, the site has been redeveloped into ASB House, part of a larger retail and office complex, making it a point of interest for visitors exploring the city's recovery and architectural evolution.
