The Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist is a prominent historic church located in Downtown Portland, Oregon, at 1331 SW Park Ave. Built in 1932 during the Great Depression, this church is the largest of its kind in Oregon and features unique hand-crafted elements, including brickwork and pews. Designed by architect Morris H. Whitehouse, the church's design was inspired by The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston. A notable feature is the attached Christian Science Reading Room. The church underwent a significant restoration in 1996, enhancing its interior, including the chapel's ceiling artwork.
