Peabody Hotel Duck March

The Peabody Memphis maintains a group of mallard ducks that are ceremonially marched to and from the hotel's lobby fountain at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day; the tradition dates to 1933 and is overseen by a staff member known as the 'Duckmaster.' The daily ritual is a well-known local attraction and frequently appears in Memphis jokes, souvenirs, and tourist commentary.
