Mission San José Rose Window

Mission San José, part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, features a carved stone Rose Window above the church portal that is widely cited as a distinctive example of Spanish colonial ornamentation in Texas. The window and other carved details date to the mission's 18th-century construction and are preserved as architectural sculpture. The mission complex and its decorative stonework are accessible to the public at the mission site.
