Mütter Museum (medical oddities collection)

The Mütter Museum, part of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, houses a collection of medical specimens, anatomical models, and historical medical instruments famous for exhibits such as Hyrtl's skull collection and the so-called "Soap Lady." The museum's displays document 19th- and 20th-century medical practice and pathology and are used for both public education and research. The Mütter is a well-known, long-established museum in Philadelphia's Center City.
