Junípero Serra Museum / Presidio Park (Presidio site)

The Junípero Serra Museum, located in Presidio Park, interprets the site of the original Presidio and the 1769 establishment of the Spanish settlement that became San Diego. The museum building, constructed in 1928, sits atop the Presidio Hill where the original presidio and early colonial infrastructure were located. The site is a documented archaeological and historical landmark for early California colonial infrastructure.
