Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (Paramount Theatre)

The building opened in 1928 as the Paramount Theatre and was later restored and renamed the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in recognition of Portland philanthropist Arlene Schnitzer and her family's support for the arts. The hall is the largest theater in the Portland'5 Centers for the Arts complex and remains a primary venue for symphony, theater, and touring performances. The Schnitzers funded major preservation and programming efforts that tied the venue to local cultural philanthropy.
