Moore School Lectures - first course on electronic computers

In the summer of 1946 the Moore School of Electrical Engineering hosted a series titled "Theory and Techniques for Design of Electronic Digital Computers," which is widely regarded as the first formal course on electronic digital computer design. Engineers and scientists from the U.S., Britain, and other countries attended; the lectures disseminated ENIAC design principles and influenced subsequent stored-program machines. The event helped establish the Moore School and the University of Pennsylvania as an early global center for computer engineering education.
