Witch's Castle (stone house) in Forest Park

The so-called 'Witch's Castle' is the ruin of a stone maintenance building in Forest Park's Macleay Park area that has long been the focus of local legends about witches and occult activity. The structure, a documented historic ruin, attracts visitors and is frequently cited in Portland folklore and guidebooks; the supernatural stories are anecdotal and debated. The ruin is located within the larger Forest Park/Hoyt Arboretum area managed by Portland Parks & Recreation.
