The Long Center for the Performing Arts

The Long Center is a performing-arts venue that opened in 2008 on a bluff overlooking Lady Bird Lake. It hosts resident companies including the Austin Symphony and Ballet Austin as well as touring concerts and community events. The center's outdoor amphitheater and public plaza function as neighborhood gathering spaces used for free and ticketed events.
