Wave Organ (acoustic tidal sculpture)

The Wave Organ is an acoustic sculpture installed on a jetty at the Marina that produces sound through the movement of tides and waves interacting with embedded pipes. Created by artist Peter Richards and completed in 1986, the installation is designed for visitors to sit and listen at high tide when the effect is strongest. The site is a recognized example of environmental sound art integrated into the city's waterfront landscape.
