Pearl Brewery and the Pearl brand

The Pearl Brewery complex at the Pearl district was home to the Pearl Brewing Company, a San Antonio-based brewery whose origins trace to the San Antonio Brewing Association founded in 1883. Pearl beer became one of Texas's best-known regional beer brands during the 20th century. The brewery on the site ceased brewing operations in 2001 and the complex was later redeveloped into restaurants, shops, and a farmers market that highlight the site's brewing history.
