Holttum Hall

Holttum Hall is a historic building located in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, originally serving as the office and laboratory of Richard Eric Holttum, the gardens' director from 1925 to 1949. Constructed in 1920, the building showcases a blend of English Vernacular and Classical architectural styles. Today, it houses the Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Museum, which opened in 2013 and features interactive exhibitions that chronicle the gardens' 154-year history. The museum includes unique artefacts and an eco-gallery made from Hempcrete, promoting sustainability. After a refurbishment in 2023, it reopened with new installations, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers interested in botany and history.
