Mingei International Museum archives (off-exhibit storage)

The Mingei International Museum in Balboa Park maintains a large collection of objects in storage and research archives that are not part of the public galleries and are accessible only by appointment or during special programs. A substantial portion of the museum's holdings remain off-display in controlled storage facilities and are handled by curatorial staff. Researchers must request access in advance, so the majority of items are not available for casual viewing.
