The Alloy Block

The Alloy Block is an ambitious mixed-use development currently under construction in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, featuring the 482-foot tall 505 State Street, which will house 441 residential units and retail space. The project includes plans for additional buildings, including two schools and the preservation of a historic Civil War infirmary as a cultural facility. Originally proposed as a two-tower complex, the project faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has shifted focus to residential units, with 505 State Street being New York City's first fully electric residential skyscraper. The development aims to address the city's housing shortage while incorporating modern amenities and sustainable design.
