Boston Tea Party - 1960s psychedelic rock club

The Boston Tea Party club operated in downtown Boston from 1967 to about 1971 and was a key venue in the city's late-1960s rock scene. Located in a former Turnverein building, it hosted performances by major rock and psychedelic acts of the era, including bands and artists such as Cream, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors. The club is frequently cited in histories of American rock for its role in bringing national acts to Boston at a formative time.
