Prysten House

Prysten House is a stunning Grade I listed 15th century merchant's house located near St Andrew's Church in Plymouth, England. Built around 1498 and expanded in 1635, this U-shaped, three-storey structure showcases exquisite Plymouth limestone and Dartmoor granite architecture, including a remarkable granite bay window and a decorative doorway. Although it has served as a museum and restaurant, it has never been a priest's residence, despite its name. Visitors can admire the Plymouth Tapestry and a model of Plymouth from 1620, as well as the 'Door of Unity' which commemorates the War of 1812. While the museum is currently closed, the restaurant remains open, making it a worthwhile stop for tourists and researchers alike.
