Metrocenter Mall (long-declining regional mall)

Metrocenter opened in 1973 as a major regional shopping mall in Phoenix and for decades served as one of the city's largest enclosed malls. Beginning in the 2000s it lost multiple anchor stores and a large share of its interior retailers; interior portions of the mall effectively closed to the public in 2020 after a series of anchor and tenant departures. Large portions of the property have been demolished or slated for redevelopment in the early 2020s.
