J. P. Schneider Store

The J.P. Schneider Store, established in 1873, is a historic commerce building located in downtown Austin, Texas. It stands as the only remaining historic structure in its immediate area, now surrounded by modern landmarks such as Austin City Hall and the headquarters of Silicon Labs. Recognized for its historical significance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Currently, it is home to Lamberts Downtown Barbeque, making it a unique spot for visitors to experience both history and local cuisine.
