Eastover (Manalapan, Florida)

Eastover is a historic site located in Manalapan, Florida, known for its architectural significance and rich history. Built in 1930 for Harold Stirling Vanderbilt and designed by Swiss architect Maurice Fatio, this estate features a stunning oceanfront property that originally boasted 500 feet of coastline. Although it has been reduced to 350 feet and partially demolished, the estate still encompasses over 3.75 acres of direct oceanfront land. Currently a private residence, Eastover was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and includes a guest house built in the mid-1990s. The property was previously owned by Randolph Apperson Hearst, linking it to the prominent Hearst family.
