Narrabri Post Office

The Narrabri Post Office, located at 138–140 Maitland Street in Narrabri, New South Wales, is a heritage-listed site built in 1888, designed by the NSW Colonial Architect's Office under James Barnet. This historic building features a unique blend of architectural styles, originally showcasing four arches that were later extended to six. The post office played a significant role in the town's development, which began in the 1830s and saw major growth with the arrival of the railway in 1882. Visitors can admire its distinctive brick façade, arcaded front, and the historical significance it holds as a central point in the community's evolution. The post office was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List in 2011, highlighting its importance as a cultural landmark.
