2 East Taylor Street, also known as the Comer House, is a historic building located in Savannah, Georgia, built in 1880. It is situated in the picturesque Monterey Square and is part of the Savannah Historic District. The house was once the residence of Hugh Moss Comer, a prominent figure in the Central of Georgia Railway. Notably, Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederacy, visited the house in 1886. The building gained further recognition as a filming location in the 1997 movie 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil,' where it features prominently in a scene with John Cusack's character.
