Broomfield Rowhouse

The Broomfield Rowhouse, located at 2502-2504 Lake Street in Omaha, Nebraska, is a historic structure designed by renowned African American architect Clarence W. Wigington. Built after the devastating Easter Sunday Tornado of 1913, this two-family dwelling won a Good Housekeeping competition in 1909 for its innovative design. The rowhouse showcases a unique blend of craftsman style with Gothic elements, reflecting Wigington's architectural mastery. Originally owned by influential African-American political leader Jack Broomfield, the building is recognized for its artistic value and historical significance, earning a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
