Blake Tenements

The Blake Tenements, constructed between 1760 and 1772 by planter Daniel Blake, are historic residential buildings located in South Carolina. Recognized for their architectural significance, they feature a unique brick design with Flemish bond on the facade. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and have served various purposes, including as an annex for county offices. Situated on a historically significant lot in Charleston, the tenements were restored after Hurricane Hugo, making them a notable stop for tourists and researchers interested in colonial architecture and local history.
