Philadelphia Masonic Temple (Masonic ritual headquarters)

Built 1868–1873, the Philadelphia Masonic Temple at this site has served as the headquarters of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and contains multiple lodge rooms where Masonic initiation, degree, and other fraternal rituals have been conducted continuously since its opening. The interior spaces were purpose-built and decorated to support specific ritual work, including symbolic furnishings and murals unique to different lodges. The building remains an active center for Masonic rites and events.
