Frist Art Museum (former U.S. Post Office and Courthouse)

Housed in the 1930s-era former U.S. Post Office and Federal Courthouse building, the Frist Art Museum opened as an art center in 2001. The adaptive reuse preserved the building's Art Deco and classical architectural features while creating galleries for rotating visual arts exhibitions. It is a well-known downtown cultural institution and neighborhood landmark.
