Wells Fargo Tower (Roanoke)

The Wells Fargo Tower, completed in 1991, is the tallest building in Roanoke and Southwest Virginia, standing at 320 feet with 21 stories. Designed by Clark Tribble Harris & Li Architects, its postmodern architecture features a striking 50-foot copper pyramid and a 48-foot spire, illuminated by 135 floodlights at night. The tower's construction was marked by a tragic incident, but it has since become a prominent landmark, reflecting the city's skyline and serving as a symbol of local business growth. Originally named Dominion Tower, it was renamed Wells Fargo Tower in 2011 following the rebranding of Wachovia.
