Qwensel House

The Qwensel House, the oldest wooden house in Turku, Finland, dates back to around 1700 and is a remarkable example of bourgeois housing from the autarchic era. Originally situated in a noble area designated by Per Brahe the Younger, it now serves as the Turku Pharmacy Museum and café. Visitors can explore the 19th-century pharmacy, which features the oldest surviving pharmacy interior in Finland, along with a collection of pharmacy utensils and exhibitions on pharmaceutical history. The museum also offers interactive experiences, including a Children's Pharmacy, where the use of medicinal herbs can be learned. The site includes remnants of the Pipping family's garden, enhancing its historical charm.
