Gay Liberation Monument (Christopher Park)

George Segal's Gay Liberation Monument was dedicated in Christopher Park in 1992. The work consists of life‑size painted bronze figures representing couples and stands across from the Stonewall Inn. It was the first public monument in New York City to commemorate the modern gay rights movement. The site was included in the Stonewall National Monument designation in 2016.
