Cupid's Span (Rincon Park sculpture)

Cupid's Span is a large public sculpture by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen installed in Rincon Park along the Embarcadero in 2002. The work depicts an exaggerated bow and arrow and is intended as a playful, site-specific landmark referencing San Francisco's maritime setting and the nearby Ferry Building. The sculpture is a documented example of contemporary public art incorporated into the city's waterfront park spaces.
