The Orange Show Monument

The Orange Show Monument is a folk-art environment created by Houston postal worker Jeff McKissack and dedicated to his appreciation of the orange. The site became the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, a nonprofit that preserves the monument and programs exhibitions, festivals, and educational activities focused on outsider and visionary art. It is recognized locally as a unique piece of vernacular architecture and community arts programming.
