Florida Theatre (Downtown Jacksonville)

The Florida Theatre opened in 1927 and is one of Jacksonville’s historic downtown movie palaces, restored and operating as a performing arts venue. Over decades of operation the theatre has accumulated local accounts of alleged paranormal activity, which have appeared in area ghost-tour listings and local media; these reports are anecdotal and contested. The theatre is a designated local historic landmark and continues to host concerts, films, and community events.
