Jugoexport

Jugoexport was a prominent Serbian import-export company founded in 1953 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Initially focused on retailing imported goods, it became a leader in the industry, showcasing designs from global creators. In 1970, fashion designer Mirjana Marić introduced a line of locally produced clothing for export, enhancing the company's influence in the fashion sector. However, the company faced significant challenges during the Yugoslav Wars, leading to its decline and eventual bankruptcy in 2001. Today, the legacy of Jugoexport is mostly remembered through its former subsidiary in Skopje, North Macedonia, while its original Belgrade location remains a state-owned property since 2016.
