Twin Peaks Tavern

Twin Peaks Tavern is located on Castro Street and is noted for its large plate-glass windows that give the bar a visible street presence. Since the early 1970s it has been recognized as a prominent Castro neighborhood gathering place and an important visible venue for the LGBT community. The tavern's location and historic role in the neighborhood have made it a widely cited Castro landmark.
