Jacobs-Hutchinson Block

The Jacobs-Hutchinson Block, also known as Peoples' National Bank and Friendly Furniture Store, is a historic five-story commercial building located in Fairmont, West Virginia. Constructed in 1902, this Renaissance Revival style structure features a steel frame with pressed brick, blue stone, and terra cotta finishes. It has served various purposes over the years, including housing department stores, a bank, and law offices. Recognized for its architectural significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
