Electra House

Electra House refers to two historic buildings in London, both associated with the Eastern and Associated Telegraph Companies and significant during World War II. The original, built in 1902 at 84 Moorgate, served as a headquarters for espionage and propaganda efforts, notably for the Special Operations Executive. It features exquisite architectural details and sculptures by prominent artists of the New Sculpture movement. The second building, completed in 1929 on Victoria Embankment, was used as an administrative center and was demolished in 1999. The Moorgate location, which survived bomb damage during the war, is now home to the Fashion Retail Academy after extensive renovations. This site offers a glimpse into London's telecommunication history and wartime activities, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
