Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a former underground drinking-water reservoir constructed in 1926 beneath Buffalo Bayou Park. After being decommissioned, it was repurposed and opened for guided public tours and site-specific art installations operated by Buffalo Bayou Partnership. The space is notable for its forest of concrete columns and its use as a subterranean exhibition and event venue.
