Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) and Seattle music archives

The Museum of Pop Culture (originally the Experience Music Project) opened in 2000 and was founded by Paul Allen. It houses collections and rotating exhibits documenting Seattle's music history, including dedicated displays and artifacts related to Jimi Hendrix and the grunge movement. MoPOP archives instruments, recordings, and ephemera from Seattle musicians and regularly hosts music-related exhibitions and programs.
