Ware's Tavern

Ware's Tavern is a historic site located in Sherborn, Massachusetts, originally built around 1780 as a family home by Benjamin Ware. The structure features a Colonial Revival entry and was later transformed into a tavern by Ware's son, Eleazer, who expanded the building in the 1840s. Although it ceased operations as a tavern by 1889, it remains a significant historical landmark, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Today, it serves as a private residence, offering a glimpse into the region's colonial past.
