Rocky statue (A. Thomas Schomberg)

The bronze statue of Rocky Balboa was sculpted by A. Thomas Schomberg for the film Rocky III and became a popular public artwork in Philadelphia. After being displayed on the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps during the films, the statue was moved to a permanent location at the museum's west entrance where visitors often pose with it. The sculpture is officially owned by the City of Philadelphia and is a frequent subject of tourist photographs.
