St. Henry's Cathedral

St. Henry's Cathedral is a prominent Catholic cathedral located in Helsinki, Finland, dedicated to Bishop Henrik, a notable 12th-century figure. Constructed between 1858 and 1860, it primarily served the Russian Catholic community and was only consecrated in 1904. As the largest cathedral in Finland, it has around 5,000 members and became the cathedral church of Helsinki in 1955. Designed in the Gothic Revival style by architect Ernst Lohrmann, the cathedral features striking statues of Bishop Henrik, Saint Peter, and Saint Paul adorning its exterior, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in religious architecture and history.
