Changi Cottage

Changi Cottage is a historic bungalow located on Netheravon Road in Changi, Singapore, built in 1950. It served as the residence of Singapore's first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, during a pivotal time following Singapore's separation from Malaysia. The bungalow has hosted notable figures, including UK Foreign Secretary Sir Alec Douglas-Home. Recently renovated, it is now part of the Civil Service Club's CSC@Changi Resort and has become a popular chalet, achieving an impressive 88% occupancy rate in 2023. In celebration of Lee Kuan Yew's 100th birthday, a special Node showcasing resources about him was unveiled at the cottage, and several trees he favored were planted on the grounds. The cottage is also featured on the Changi Heritage Trail, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's history.
