Milam Building

The Milam Building, completed in 1928 in downtown San Antonio, is an early high-rise office building noted for its Art Deco influences. It is frequently cited as one of the first high-rise buildings in the United States to be built with a central air-conditioning system installed from the outset. The building has housed offices, retail, and later mixed-use space while remaining a prominent historic skyscraper in the city's central business district. Its location places it within walking distance of other downtown historic sites.
