Blue Mustang ('Blucifer') at Denver International Airport

Luis Jiménez's 32-foot-tall blue fiberglass sculpture 'Mustang' stands on the grounds near the Jeppesen Terminal at Denver International Airport and is widely nicknamed 'Blucifer' by locals. The sculpture's glowing red eyes and the fact that the artist died in 2006 when a portion of the sculpture fell during fabrication have made it a frequent subject of local jokes and conspiracy-themed humor. The work was installed at the airport in 2008 and remains one of Denver's most talked-about public artworks.
