Fisher Building (New Center Art Deco landmark)

Completed in 1928 and designed by Albert Kahn, the Fisher Building is a prominent Art Deco landmark in Detroit's New Center neighborhood commissioned by the Fisher brothers. The multi-use skyscraper was built to house retail, office space and the Fisher Theatre, which occupies part of its lower floors. Its exterior and interior ornamentation, including marble and decorative metalwork, exemplify high-style commercial architecture of the late 1920s.
