Sutro Baths ruins at Lands End

The concrete foundations and ruins of the Sutro Baths, once the world's largest indoor saltwater swimming complex built by Adolph Sutro in 1896, remain visible at Lands End. The complex burned and was largely destroyed in a 1966 fire; its masonry and pool outlines are now exposed ruins along the coastline. The site is managed as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and is accessible via trails near the Lands End Lookout.
