Transamerica Pyramid

The Transamerica Pyramid, completed in 1972 and designed by William Pereira, is San Francisco's best-known skyscraper and a distinctive element of the city's skyline. At its completion it became the tallest building in the city and has frequently been used in imagery and branding associated with San Francisco. The building served as the Transamerica Corporation's headquarters for many years and remains an architectural landmark in the Financial District.
